Silly question, but who set the dates? I asked around. I was told “the tour.” I asked who the tour was. I was told “everyone.” I checked, and actually nobody knows. Two days is forty-eight hours. It takes me an hour to get from my student room (kot) in Louvain-la-Neuve to the newsroom, on the 7:32 train, and I turn up tired. They change continents. And the strangest part is that Agassi says “do it again.” So they already know it’s going to happen again, and they go anyway. I’m told it’s tradition, fine, but what does that mean? He also said he wished he’d had “more of that little something” in him. I asked Jean-Pol what that little something was. He said he had it. Anyway, I still have a lot to learn.
Agassi, for his part, ended on a note of pride: “They’re there for each other. I couldn’t be more proud.” He also said his players showed “more courage” than what he sometimes sees in tournaments “where there’s real stakes, though.”
